Keep Turning the Pages

You can triumph in faith even while going through difficulties.

As you turn the pages in my book, you will read how I was determined to dig my heels in. I wanted to know more about God. I needed a more personal, spiritual life focused on biblical teachings about Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. And yes, I pursued those desires while enduring painful disappointments and heartaches.

I am open. I am honest. I struggled to understand, grow and triumph in faith as I lived with losses — my health, loved ones, employment and self-esteem.

So how did I triumph in faith? Can my stories help you or someone you know? I believe Keep Turning the Pages will help make the difference as you discover a level of faith you never knew you had.

Hello

I am Anita L. Cobbins

I started writing faith-based, inspirational articles for publication as I began living a new life – a paraplegic who survived a near-fatal, head-on collision. I am devoted to God and believe His highest and greatest love demonstration is through Jesus Christ, the only One whose life was sacrificed on the cross for all. Our lives matter to God more than we may realize. He is faithfully poised to orchestrate our lives towards purposeful living.

Yet like many of you, my life has had its challenges, heartaches, and questions. Faith failures, brokenness, and shattered dreams took center stage following the car accident and losses in major areas of my life. Somehow, despite the circumstances I always ended up at that place of Christ-centered faith, reassuring me God loves, knows, cares, and has whatever I need to keep going.

In Keep Turning the Pages, I write about these life-changing, love-affirming experiences, emphasizing why faith in God makes the difference. From the inspirational articles, I was motivated to start writing blogs as an addition to Faith In God Ministries (FIGM) which launched in 2014. The blogs are also featured on this website.

As an ordained minister, I am passionate about helping people connect with God through His word so that they, too, can authentically know God not just biblically, but also personally and intimately.

As a professional communicator, I am careful to make sure my down-to-earth, relatable style through the stories I share meets you where you are, on your level whenever I am writing or speaking.

Chapter 5. I Lost My Job

Some of the best outcomes from the accident and subsequently my life as a paraplegic are the strength and support of my family.

Chapter 8. Family Matters

Mother without hesitation responded, ‘God gave me back my daughter. That’s gift enough for me’.

Chapter 9. A Mother’s Day Gift from God

Daddy stepped up in ways that kept my jaws dropping because I didn’t expect him to be so devoted and nurturing.

What People Are Saying

Anita Cobbins is a true warrior of faith. Her book “Keep Turning the Pages” will inspire anyone that is going through a tough situation that seems to be wearing on their faith. A few years ago, I was ministering to on old friend who had been incarcerated and had lost hope and faith in surviving her lengthy prison sentence. I recommended Anita’s book “Keep Turning the Pages.” After reading the book her hope and faith were renewed. Her behavior radically changed for the better and she was paroled after doing only a third of her prison time. I am sure this book will inspire you in the same way. God bless you sister. Keep up the God work!

Anita opens up about her head-on collision accident and her healing journey in this gripping book. As a minister, she has written and preached a lot about faith, but her struggle to recover has helped others make healing and faith breakthroughs of their own.
